Northumbrian Water Group (NWG)

NWG supply water and sewerage services to approximately 13m households. They have a high volume of both underground and overground physical assets in some extremely remote environments. Plus a large workforce of contractors and suppliers who weren't on it's enterprise network. They needed a way to communicate, inspect, feedback and meet regulatory processes and checks on these assets.

Nintex Workflow drives safe and cost effective maintenance of physical infrastructure

You might not expect workflow to operate 50 metres underground, but that’s one of the ways Northumbrian Water utilises it. To solve the issue of how to connect a large network of contractors and suppliers, working in remote conditions and on often difficult to reach assets, the team needed a robust and easy to use solution. The result combined Nintex Workflow and Forms for Office 365 with Nintex Mobile. By combining with a Sharepoint online database they created a straightforward and accessible analysis of remote survey data. The solution creation was accelerated from 3 months to 2 weeks, providing more time for employees to focus on other tasks.
